Cabinet Door Colours

There are many colour pallete options for cabinetry. Whether you want to create a two-tone coastal kitchen or scandi style (say white and timber-look), a dark industrial warehouse look (or a mix of black and timber-look), an all-white look (and maybe adding textures or panel details), contemporary style or a mid-century modern, a modern farmhouse, shaker or hamptons style (more detailed panels) or want to use a single colour (eg. green, grey, blue, terracotta etc) then we have different door and benchtop options to help you create the look that you are after.

Where to start with colour? We start with the room’s wall and trim colours and then add the cabinetry colours to suit the room’s colour palette. Our designers can help guide you with your colour selections. Kitchen trends come and go but a good colour combination will last.

For Doors and Panels that have a Polyurethane paint finish, we can generally colour match to Dulux, Taubmans, British Paints, Wattyl and other paint ranges in finishes such as Matt, Satin, Semi Gloss or High Gloss.

Dark and deep base colours may attract a surcharge due to the extra time that goes into painting for the perfect finish

If you want to add to an existing kitchen or cabinet unit that has a polyurethane finish then we can colour match to a panel that you give us.

Melamine (or known as laminate) doors are a great option for Coastal, Industrial or contemporary style kitchens and very popular for kitchenettes, granny flats, pantry, laundry, office and wardrobe doors. They are a versatile finish. For melamine or laminate doors we use Formica, Laminex or Polytec ranges. There are a wide range of colour and texture options across their ranges: plain colours (starting with Formica Velour or Pearl, Polytec Matt, Laminex Natural) and wood-looks as well as newer wood look textured ranges including Woodmatt or Ravine finishes from Polytec or the Impressions range (eg. Chalk finish) from Laminex and also, Formica has a Grain texture range.

Melamine and Colours and finishes can be seen at out factory or found on our suppliers’  websites at
